Your Wedding Images on DVD

January 28, 2010

As many of you know, my main career is developing websites for my studio Deelicious Web Design. I began photographing weddings as an excuse to develop my skill and never imagined it would grow into another successful business venture. I feel incredibly lucky to participate in two professions I immensely love. My clients, whether they be business professionals or brides, have always pushed me to improve myself and offer products and services that I can be proud of.

As January approached, I knew it was time to set new goals for Visually Deelicious. Many photographers strive for a larger volume of weddings while others hope they can increase their income by setting higher rates. To be honest, the number of weddings I shoot per year or the profit I make mean nothing to me. Photography doesn’t put food on my table, it simply allows me to strengthen my passion and I therefor decided that 2010 would be the year I improve the quality of my service.

Of course any photographer will refine their skills the more they shoot, so I narrowed my goal to offer the highest quality products available for my clients. It’s an amazing experience to view your wedding photos for the first time online and relive the day, and yet it’s almost more gratifying to touch a wedding album in your hands and show it off to every living person on earth. This is an excitement I want every one of my brides to experience so I will not be offering cheap thrills in order to snag 50 weddings a year.

Now on to the products! Whether you purchase a package containing a DVD of your wedding images or add the item later as a la carte, your wedding photos will be delivered in a lovely brown package. Open the box and you will find a custom printed DVD containing all your wedding images retouched and available for unlimited reprinting. The DVD is presented in a custom photo-metallic case covered with matte laminate and includes a magnetic closure. I’m not kidding when I say the cover of this baby is so silky smooth, you won’t stop rubbing it! (Men take note...hehe.)

Interested in purchasing your wedding slideshow on DVD? This beautiful case can house 2 DVDs for the ultimate presentation of your wedding images. Duplicate cases are available for parents or as gifts at a reduced price. Please inquiry for pricing. And yes, we do provide a backup DVD for those times the dog decides to chomp on your goodies. Just promise me you’ll store the DVDs in two different locations!

Handmade Journals by Concepcioun : Wedding Vendor Spotlight

January 26, 2010

I recently attended the New York Wedding Affair in Rochester, NY hosted by WellWed Magazine and met the adorable Christine W. from Concepcioun. Christine offers handmade journals, perfect for wedding guest books, scrap books or even photo albums. I fell in love with the Accordian Fold Guest Books because they’re just so unique and can be beautifully displayed on a table, but the letterpress on her limited editions is quite impressive. With over 20 different cover fabrics to choose from and 89 ribbon selections, I’m sure these books would complement any wedding decor.

Check out Concepcioun’s website at www.concepcioun.com.

January 23, 2010

Looking for a ceremony/reception venue in Buffalo, NY? The Butler Mansion provides a beautiful setting in downtown for small to medium size weddings. The following photographs are from Joel and Danielle’s fall wedding in September 2009.

The bridal prep room provides plenty of space with a very tall mirror so the light just bounces all over the room!
