Miss Annabelle | Livonia, NY

November 14, 2011

What a joy to have your closest friends have beautiful babies. I’ve been fortunate to photograph so many wonderful children this year with more on the way! Annabelle was so patient for being only a month old and oozed personality into my lens with that crazy, yet completely adorable hair! Such a cutie!

Meet Lidia | Bliss, NY

August 03, 2011

My dear friends Mark and Judith welcomed their second beautiful daughter, Lidia, in June, the same day as Mark’s birthday! After two hours of labor (yes be jealous mommies), Lidia was born with brilliant red hair at almost 10 pounds. It was a joy and challenge to photograph Lidia as she’s been my smallest subject yet, but after a few tinkles on dad and some kisses from mom, she was a perfect baby.

Baby Lucas | Rochester, NY

February 25, 2011

I was quite excited for my session with Lucas. So excited in fact that I showed up a week early when my subjects weren’t home! I’m pretty sure this solidified Billy’s thoughts that he’s married to a real goofball. As the correct date approached, I was thrilled to finally meet Lucas with his endless expressions and adorable rolls of cuteness. I was even educated on new toys and gadgets available to babies, including a bumbo seat which was just too groovy. Babies are so advanced these days!

My ultimate goal was to photograph Lucas in his birthday suit in Mom and Dad’s arms. It was a hysterical adventure as he “showered” them with his love 3 times, but at least they had his goodies covered so my camera was kept dry as a whistle and I was left to enjoy their laughter and priceless faces.

Thank you to Billy for the awesome video clips now part of our slideshows! Check out the complete session below!

The Art of the Snooze

January 29, 2011

I’m pretty sure if Lucas was my son, I would hang him above the mantle and just stare at his adorableness for hours. What a precious baby! I totally enjoyed a fabulous joint session with Billy today but wondered why babies always gravitate towards him instead of me. Must be a man thing….or his beard. Maybe I should grow one?

Fine Art Floats are Fantastic!

September 24, 2010

I have a confession…for the past year I’ve worked in my office very little. Anyone who is close to me knows that I’m ridiculously in love with my house and even though my office is 5 minutes from my home, I was only dropping in once a week. That was until a few weeks ago….

Though I adored my crazy paint job, my office walls were bare of any photographs and I found it uninspiring for both myself and my clients. So last month I went wild ordering display products including canvases, standouts, floats, a big screen tv, a new coffee table and of course a mini beverage bar. I removed some furniture to open up some space and voila! I’m now SO IN LOVE with my office! In fact, I’ve been enjoying every week day now in my new space. I’ll be the first to admit that my banana green walls aren’t the best backdrop for my images, but in the dreary winter, my office is my sunshine and I just couldn’t let go of the bright colors! What once was a semi-boring meeting space is now a vibrant and exciting entrance and I’ve yet to have a visitor come in and not comment on my subject’s fabulous photos!

Adorning my sitting space are the new Fine Art Floats. A unique option to display images, Fine Art Floats are similar to Canvases or Standout Mounts in that they add dimension by extending out from the wall. Fine Art Floats are unique in that they appear to be floating on the wall with the main focus on the image! Create a modern display with a Float wall collage that is ready to hang once removed from the box.

These pieces are created by wrapping the photographic print or canvas print around masonite to create a thin wrap. The print or canvas is protected with a laminate and padding is added between the print and the masonite to give the front of the Float a raised, elegant look and feel. The back of the Float is complete with black paper backing and a black ¾” thick gatorboard block that allows the Float to extend out from the wall. The back of the block also contains drilled holes for hanging.
