Passion, Love & Happiness. I'm on a journey to capture these emotions from people who radiate their inner beauty and joy into my lens. I photograph because I adore weddings, a spontaneous lifestyle and meeting amazing individuals who will change my life. I hope that next unique someone is you.

I have a heat lamp in my bathroom. It’s definitely not a glamorous bathroom, in fact it’s covered in 70’s yellow tile and yellow is my least favorite color. Mix that with my olive green toilet and matching shower and you have room that screams, “Hey I was cool 40 years ago, so deal with it!” Can you tell how much I love my bathroom? : /
Well back to this heat lamp. Not only does it give off something warm and toasty, but the lighting is really cool. So when my girlfriend Katie came over for a visit, we decided to shoot some funky pics in my groovy bathroom. My husband is a gun fanatic so he threw in a few of his toys, and well, I thought the result was kinda cool. Actually really cool.
Photos weren’t retouched…that’s just how groovy my bathroom is. Yes be jealous….or sympathetic. Enjoy Red Kat!
The humidity was intense today so the night was beautiful, finally! I threw my new Speedlight 430 EX II on my camera tonight and took a few test shots around the yard. Most were goofy, but here are my two favs:
I have to laugh on this first shot because I don’t think the flash even fired, but I told my husband to pose so he whipped out his gun and pulled a James Bond move. Worked for me cause I think he looks sexy!
By this time it was getting pretty dark, so why not head to the waterfalls? Makes total sense. The "rapids" were crazy tonight from all the rain so I couldn't believe Pirate was such a rebel and tried to climb the falls, but it made for a cool photo of my cute little Welshie.

I’m having a blast with this flash! More to come if this awesome weather keeps up!
Phew! I just returned from an amazing 1-year anniversary trip with my husband in Ocean City, Maryland and boy was it fantastic. We did nothing but sleep on the beach and eat….sleep eat…sleep eat….oh and take lots of pictures! We drove the trusty Toyota down and Bill likes to drive for…oh I don’t know…like 8 hours straight! I on the other hand needed to stop as soon as we got to PA.
This is seriously the biggest smile my face could muster up.

When we pulled over at the rest stop, we weren’t expecting a mansion, this place had amazing views!

Then it was onward to Maryland where I amused myself with self portraits. (PS…that Atlas on my lap is just to make me look smart, I learned quickly I totally can not read a map! Sorry Bill.)

I had my camera to the window for 30 minutes waiting for this sign because Bill told me it was right around the bend, but it wasn’t and when I finally got tired of waiting, well wouldn’t you know it shows up and I’m totally not prepared so here’s my quick snap but we did do a victory dance in the car!

Made a quick overnight stop to visit family in Annapolis. This is Chris, Bill’s cousin, both swimming fanatics.

Annapolis definitely has amazing night life and martinis!

The party crew we ripped up the town with. What a great start for a vacation!

What a weekend. The 4th of July is crazy enough for everyone, but throw into the mix that my birthday was Sunday and so was my 10-year high school reunion. I still can’t believe I’m old enough to say that phrase! I really went back and forth as to whether I wanted to attend, not because I didn’t want to see my friends, but because sometimes seeing people you haven’t talked to in 10 years can be awkward and the conversations can be quite repetitive, but thanks to marrying my high school sweetheart who graduated in the same class, I didn’t have a choice.
Well….we got there at 12:30pm for lunch in the park. We left at 6:30pm. Six hours of catching up with old friends and it was fantastic! We even took a group walk down to the falls and tried to work off 5 hours of eating. I’m pleasantly surprised to say I really look forward to our 20-year (gasp!) reunion and suggest to anyone who is toying around with the idea of whether to go their reunion or not, JUST GO! You’ll be happy you did. :)
It was May and I loved driving down my driveway just to admire my lawn filled with dandelions and sweet purple violets. Bill couldn’t wait to cut the grass, but I kept insisting that I take photos of our pooch before the big chop. Truth be told, I knew the lawn wouldn’t look like this again, so I took my “dandy” old time. Armed with my new camera and lens, I snapped some shots of my most unpredictable subject, Pirate.
