Looking for a ceremony/reception venue in Buffalo, NY? The Butler Mansion provides a beautiful setting in downtown for small to medium size weddings. The following photographs are from Joel and Danielle’s fall wedding in September 2009.
The bridal prep room provides plenty of space with a very tall mirror so the light just bounces all over the room!
Very tall ceilings!
Kids love playing on the stairs in anticipation for the wedding to begin!
Waiting for the wedding to start, the interior provided a beautiful backdrop.
I loved the giant columns on the mansion. What a grand entrance for a bride!
Butler Mansion is perfect for summer/fall weddings where the ceremony can take place outdoors decorated by fresh flowers.
The stairs provided a beautiful place to catch a photo of the bride with her bridesmaids.
Did I mention how much I love the light in this room! Great for portraits.
Cocktails are served around a fountain which looks just lovely lit up at night!
Two rooms on each side of the dance floor provide guests with dinner and fireplaces.
A small sitting area on the second floor allows the wedding party to slip away for a few moments.
The dance floor provides plenty of space to get your groove on and you can watch the bride and groom from above on the staircase.
At night, the lights create quite the romantic mood.

It’s the first After Glow starring Danielle! I thought it would be lovely to get the bride’s perspective of her day AFTER the wedding, so I asked Danielle a few questions and she so graciously answered with wonderful responses. Look for more to come!
Exhilarating
My favorite moment is kind of cliche, it was walking down the aisle. That moment was the culmination of a lot of love, tears, joy, and a new beginning.
I have two favorite photos. Oddly, my groom isn’t in either LOL.
The picture of me and my grandfather exiting the mansion photographed from the rear and the sepia colored photo of me applying lip gloss. In all the photography was stunning, and I really don’t have a photo that I am disappointed in. Which is amazing given the amount of shots.
I suggest hiring a day of planner. Especially if you have a large family. While planning myself helped me to realize the picture I wanted to portray on my wedding day, the weeks and moments leading up to the wedding were hectic. This is why I suggest getting the best of both worlds. Do the picking of items yourself and hire someone to coordinate the small details. Another small tip, is to use the internet a lot. It saved me a load of cash and helped me choose the best vendors via comparison shopping without leaving my home.
