Looking for a ceremony/reception venue in Buffalo, NY? The Butler Mansion provides a beautiful setting in downtown for small to medium size weddings. The following photographs are from Joel and Danielle’s fall wedding in September 2009.
The bridal prep room provides plenty of space with a very tall mirror so the light just bounces all over the room!
Very tall ceilings!
Kids love playing on the stairs in anticipation for the wedding to begin!
Waiting for the wedding to start, the interior provided a beautiful backdrop.
I loved the giant columns on the mansion. What a grand entrance for a bride!
Butler Mansion is perfect for summer/fall weddings where the ceremony can take place outdoors decorated by fresh flowers.
The stairs provided a beautiful place to catch a photo of the bride with her bridesmaids.
Did I mention how much I love the light in this room! Great for portraits.
Cocktails are served around a fountain which looks just lovely lit up at night!
Two rooms on each side of the dance floor provide guests with dinner and fireplaces.
A small sitting area on the second floor allows the wedding party to slip away for a few moments.
The dance floor provides plenty of space to get your groove on and you can watch the bride and groom from above on the staircase.
At night, the lights create quite the romantic mood.

Can I tell you how amazing the people were at this wedding? My Mom, Adrene, and I had never met Peter or Danielle before the big day, but I knew they were going to be a wonderful couple after speaking with them on the phone. As soon as we walked in, Peter the groom, rushed over and gave us both giant hugs. “I’m so glad you’re here!” he said. Instant adrenaline rush. ;) We turned around and were greeted by Peter and Doug, the innkeepers of the Benn Conger Inn with two more welcoming and warm hugs. Honestly, I’m not a big hug giver because I never think to portray my emotions in such a way, but what a great feeling! I need to hug more often! Of course, after a whirl wind of emotions and a fantastic event, we left the inn with new friends and you guessed it, several more goodbye hugs.
So enjoy the show then go hug somebody....you’ll make their day!

Clint: (06.26.09 - 8:33 pm) woah. just woah. what did you use to make that, and does it automatically do the picture creator thingy at the end? I made the senior slideshow (i'm uploading it to youtube), and i just did it really simple with imovie but i'd def like to play like you did here. Wonderful job Deanna!
Deanna: (06.28.09 - 5:41 pm) Thanks for the love! @Clint- I use showit web from showitfast.com. It does automatically create a gallery of images from the slideshow which is handy, but I custom synced the images to the beat of the music for this show which is quite time consuming. Another negative is that it's a flash output which reads off an XML file, so you can't convert it to a movie to upload on youtube or burn it onto a DVD. On the plus side, they do have a facebook application to share the shows and the user interface is pretty slick and easy to use. Much much faster than using iMovie.
