I adore custom photo albums. Reviewing images after a photo shoot used to be my favorite activity, but that was before I received my first designed album. They are just so stunning in person! Mariah and Jason wanted to include their children in their engagement session so their book was filled with fun romping in the leaves but also a romantic walk around the village.
Whether an engagement album or a wedding guestbook, I design with simple lines and colors to enhance the photos and leave plenty of space for signatures if needed. Being the dimensions of the book are 8.5"x11", the pages contain big beautiful photos sometimes measuring 22” wide on full page spreads!
Engagement albums contain an average of 60 photos across 20 spreads with the option to select your favorite images. Look for an upcoming post showing photos of the finished product!
Kate: (02.25.10 - 1:13 am) Looks great! I really like pg. 5 -- an American Dream -- a House with a yard, American flag out front, and a family.
Deanna: (02.25.10 - 4:45 pm) That's so funny because I was thinking the same thing when I posted this. Could be the cover of a magazine!
Here’s a little tidbit about myself....I love The Beatles Rock Band on the Wii. It’s a pastime my Dad and I thoroughly enjoy together (though he refuses to play above easy...grrr!) and actually inspired me to learn to play the real guitar. So can you imagine my excitement when after the ceremony, Jason and Mariah’s clan whipped out The Beatles Rock Band before the reception? Yes it was time to put down the camera for a few moments....
I also love small weddings and Jason & Mariah’s ceremony was a top contender for emotions and love. Mariah’s father was the officiant who delivered some powerful and tear jerking words. Lots of sniffles during this intimate ceremony! Top if off with a New Year’s party hosted by Salvatore’s Italian Gardens Restaurant past 2am and this group really knew how to bring in a new year! I just love holiday weddings!
Looking forward to a DYNAMITE 2010!

mariah ..... thomas: (01.15.10 - 9:02 am) AMAZING !!!! You have been the very best all along, from photographer - to wedding planner - to counceling - "Sexy legs" and most of all my friend. Thank you for such a wonderful time and capturing such timeless moments for us.
Phew, two slideshows in one day? I can’t handle this much excitement! I’m heading out the door to another Christmas party, but I had to post this beautiful series of images because they get me in the Christmas spirit. And major thanks to Jason and Mariah for looking sexy in 35° weather! It was worth it, don’t you think?

When I create a slideshow for a bride and groom, I try to use their first dance song because I know it’s a special melody. I’ll be honest when I say that I would have never picked this song for Nick and Kristen’s photos and that’s why I love it. I’d never even heard this song before, but it reminds me of how beautiful and unique each relationship is that I’m so lucky to be able to experience and photograph. Thank you.

Can I tell you how amazing the people were at this wedding? My Mom, Adrene, and I had never met Peter or Danielle before the big day, but I knew they were going to be a wonderful couple after speaking with them on the phone. As soon as we walked in, Peter the groom, rushed over and gave us both giant hugs. “I’m so glad you’re here!” he said. Instant adrenaline rush. ;) We turned around and were greeted by Peter and Doug, the innkeepers of the Benn Conger Inn with two more welcoming and warm hugs. Honestly, I’m not a big hug giver because I never think to portray my emotions in such a way, but what a great feeling! I need to hug more often! Of course, after a whirl wind of emotions and a fantastic event, we left the inn with new friends and you guessed it, several more goodbye hugs.
So enjoy the show then go hug somebody....you’ll make their day!
